Hannah Run

Hannah and her cousin Emilio embark on a thrilling hike along the Pacific Crest Trail, seeking independence and adventure. Their journey through the breathtaking Mount Hood National Forest takes a terrifying turn when they spot a mysterious, masked stalker lurking nearby.

As paranoia sets in, they quicken their pace, only to get hopelessly lost in the wilderness. The situation takes a deadly twist when the masked stalker attacks, leaving Emilio for dead and Hannah in a nightmarish struggle for survival. Captured by the stalker and hauled off to his secluded cabin, where she discovers that it harbors the ghosts of all victims of the same serial killer. The girls help her escape.

Amidst the foreboding forest, and the following serial killer,  a spectral Emilio guides her escape, and her pursuit intensifies as they race to reach safety. Bloodhounds and a police search party draw near, offering hope and danger in equal measure.

An unexpected twist reveals Hannah’s hidden survival instinct, and with the help of supernatural forces, she overcomes her tormentor.

As she awakens in a hospital bed, Hannah is thankful that she’s been saved by the unlikeliest of saviors, her ghostly cousin Emilio.

Homunculus

Frank has spent his life drifting from one temporary job to the next, never settling into a career, a relationship, or any real sense of purpose. A turning point arrives when three menacing intruders from the Sun Yee On triad group demand “stolen money”, from “Liu Chao”, (Hank’s real name). Confused and desperate, David swears they have the wrong man and tries to reason with them, but this is met with extreme violence. As he lies on the floor in a semi-conscious state, a shocking revelation about his father’s past criminal history leaves David in disbelief. The conversation gets heated, and Hank produces a handgun from his belt. He shoots an intruder dead. Now David is ready to believe anything.

Now the pair are on the run, Hank shares his criminal history and double-crossing of a vengeful boss, forging an overdue bond with David. Hank’s last wish is to return to “the old country” to die so father and son fly out to China. As they evade danger, they reach an old friend, Tai, a former underworld associate, and find refuge. But when danger threatens again, Tai’s daughter, Ziyi, emerges as their guardian angel.

Tai insists that she follow Hank and David for a short time to ensure their safety. She complies, staking out the couple overnight. But when she returns home to find her Father murdered, Ziyi has a new purpose in life, to find who is behind the killing.

When she finally catches up with David again, his father has already passed away. Hank’s final moments are filled with revelations, transforming his relationship with David and imparting information vital to help Ziyi avenge her father’s murder.

As they find themselves on a path of vengeance, secrets are revealed, and a deep emotional connection blossoms.
